Sharjah Institute for Heritage and House of Wisdom Discuss “Emirati Sann’a” and Its Role in Consolidating National Identity in a Joint Lecture

As part of their joint cultural cooperation, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage and the House of Wisdom hosted a lecture delivered by Dr. Khalid Al Shahi, Academic Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah. The lecture was titled “Emirati Sann’a… An Authentic Pillar for Strengthening National Identity.”

Sann’a as a System of Values and Behaviors

The lecture addressed a number of key themes, including the linguistic and conceptual definition of Emirati sann’a, and its role as an integrated system of societal values and behaviors. It also highlighted sann’a’s contribution to strengthening national identity and reinforcing the principles of social cohesion and solidarity among members of society. In addition, the lecture underscored the responsibility of educational and cultural institutions in instilling the values of sann’a, and the importance of transmitting these authentic values to future generations.
