The School of Stories: A Global Theatre Competing to Dazzle Sharjah Heritage Days Audiences

The School of Stories venue hosted outstanding theatrical performances presented by artistic troupes from around the world, as part of the second day of Sharjah Heritage Days. Folk arts blended with puppetry and marionette theatre techniques in scenes that reflected the richness of human heritage and the diversity of world cultures.
International Troupes on the Storytelling Stage
Audiences enjoyed performances by international troupes, including Dan from the Sultanate of Oman, Giobini from Italy, and Cocarelò from Romania, in addition to a remarkable show by Koguz from Lithuania, which captivated attendees with its visual and physical performance.
The Puppet Exhibition: Stories Brought to Life
At the Puppet Shop, the puppet theatre hosted a series of specialized exhibitions in the art of puppetry, featuring Manar from the UAE, Noor from Bahrain, the Puppet House Foundation from Bahrain, and Doha from Jordan. Meanwhile, Rasha presented folk tales from Egypt, and Georgia Gomes from Brazil participated with a striking exhibition reflecting the distinctiveness of Latin heritage.
A Platform for Cultural Dialogue
These activities reaffirm Sharjah’s pivotal role in promoting intercultural dialogue and consolidating its position as a global platform that embraces artistic creativity, opening horizons for cultural exchange among peoples through the universal language of heritage and folk arts.
