Abdulaziz Al-Musallam visits the Bin Majid Association in Ras Al Khaimah.

His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, visited the Bin Majid Association for Folk Arts and Rowing in Ras Al Khaimah on Wednesday. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation between cultural entities concerned with heritage preservation and to review the association’s achievements in safeguarding folk arts and maritime heritage, which are considered an integral part of Emirati identity.
Supporting Cultural Heritage Institutions
In line with his commitment to supporting cultural heritage institutions, His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Musallam, accompanied by a delegation from the institute, visited the Bin Majid Association for Folk Arts and Rowing in Ras Al Khaimah on Wednesday. He was received by Mr. Nasser Hassan Al-Kass, Chairman of the Association, members of the Board of Directors, and in the presence of His Excellency Mohammed Ghanem, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Broadcasting Authority.
Enhancing Cooperation in Heritage Preservation
The visit came as part of efforts to enhance cooperation between cultural entities focused on heritage preservation and to learn about the association's accomplishments in preserving folk arts and maritime heritage, both of which are considered essential elements of Emirati identity.
The delegation toured the association’s facilities, including the museum and archaeological collections that document the emirate’s maritime history. They were also briefed on the activities and initiatives that promote the presence of folk arts in the collective consciousness of the community.
Appreciation for the Association’s Heritage Role
Dr. Al-Musallam praised the vital role played by the association in documenting intangible heritage, stressing the importance of national partnerships in supporting cultural efforts and showcasing Emirati heritage both locally and internationally.
