His Excellency Abubakr Al Kindi, Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, affirmed that the Union Pledge is a deeply rooted national occasion that recalls one of the greatest milestones in the history of the United Arab Emirates. In a statement marking the occasion, Al Kindi said that celebrating the Union Pledge goes beyond commemorating a pivotal historical event; it reflects a renewed national awareness of the country's history and the achievements of its leaders, while reinforcing a culture of loyalty to the homeland and its wise leadership in line with the UAE’s vision for a more prosperous, sustainable, and pioneering future.
