Sharjah, 8 March 2026

His Excellency Abu Bakr Al Kindi, Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, affirmed that commemorating “Zayed Humanitarian Day” represents a firmly established national occasion from which generations draw inspiration from the values of generosity and solidarity instilled by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may he rest in peace, making them a sustainable approach in the humanitarian journey of the United Arab Emirates.

Al Kindi stated that this occasion embodies the profound humanitarian legacy left by the Founding Father, whose principles of giving and benevolence have evolved into an authentic societal culture that has contributed to strengthening the UAE’s position as a global model in humanitarian work. He added that the Sharjah Institute for Heritage is keen to reflect these values through its cultural and community programs and initiatives by promoting the concepts of solidarity and social cohesion, and by connecting younger generations with the humanitarian legacy of Zayed the giver, thus reinforcing a culture of giving as an integral part of the Emirati identity.
