Coordination Meeting Strengthens Strategic Vision and Elevates Institutional Performance at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage
As part of its commitment to advancing its institutional framework and reinforcing its presence across the cultural and academic landscapes locally, regionally, and internationally, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage held an expanded coordination meeting. The session addressed key pillars of institutional work and mechanisms for its development, supporting efforts to safeguard Emirati cultural heritage and meet the aspirations of the Emirate of Sharjah. It also emphasized enhancing integration among departments and branches, and advancing the quality of performance and heritage programs in line with future priorities.
The meeting was chaired on Thursday morning by H.E. Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, in the presence of H.E. Abubakr Al Kindi, Director of the Institute, along with department heads and branch managers in Al Dhaid, Khorfakkan, Kalba, and Dibba Al Hisn. It was held at Al Bait Hotel in Al Mureijah.
Strategic Vision and Performance Development
The meeting reviewed the Institute’s policies and strategic vision, focusing on enhancing institutional performance and strengthening coordination between departments and branches. It also examined the progress of heritage programs and initiatives, explored ways to improve service quality, and assessed the outcomes of events and their impact on reinforcing the Institute’s cultural presence. The importance of international participation in promoting Emirati heritage and strengthening the Institute’s standing was also highlighted.

Participants discussed the success of the Institute’s events and their outcomes, and their role in strengthening its cultural footprint. They also addressed the significance of local and international participation in broadening awareness of Emirati heritage and reinforcing the Institute’s position within the cultural and academic spheres.
Guidance and Leadership Vision
H.E. Dr. Al Musallam stressed the importance of implementing the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aimed at preserving Emirati heritage and raising awareness of its value. He underscored Sharjah’s leadership in heritage preservation through long-standing projects and initiatives spanning decades.
He further directed that all programs and activities be executed in accordance with approved plans, with a focus on documentation and dissemination, and on strengthening the Institute’s presence locally and internationally through high-quality, well-received participations.
Commending Teamwork and Collaboration
For his part, H.E. Abubakr Al Kindi highlighted the importance of continuing to develop the institutional work system and enhancing integration across departments and branches to achieve high-quality outcomes that reflect the Institute’s stature and cultural role. He commended the strong collaboration among teams, noting that such synergy contributes to the success of events and programs and enhances efficiency and quality.
