Heritage Nights Launch Tomorrow in the Central Sharjah … Ramadan Meets Memory and Community Joy

The activities of Sharjah Heritage Nights will launch tomorrow at Al Sur Square in the central area of Sharjah , organized by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage in celebration of the holy month. The event presents a diverse cultural and community program reflecting the depth of Emirati identity and the richness of folk heritage, in vibrant Ramadan settings that blend authenticity with contemporary family activities.

The program will run from 26 February to 23 March 2026, offering an open cultural space where heritage meets everyday life and collective memory intertwines with community joy, creating an experience that reinforces the spirit of the holy month and its human values.

A Diverse Ramadan Program
Sharjah Heritage Nights welcomes visitors daily with a rich schedule combining folk arts, heritage performances, Ramadan cafés, handicraft and book stalls, the Storyteller’s Tales corner, the traditional Ramadan drummer with Arab participation, a Ramadan kitchen, a family games zone, a puppet theatre, and daily competitions and raffles.

Cultural Talks and Workshops
The event also features workshops and cultural sessions exploring the heritage and human dimensions of Ramadan, including Ramadan in Emirati Collective Memory, Images of Ramadan in World Heritage, and Zayed Humanitarian Day. These sessions highlight the social values of the holy month and strengthen its presence in cultural awareness.

The event is expected to attract wide attendance from residents, visitors, and tourists alike, thanks to the living cultural experience it offers—combining enjoyment with knowledge—within a scene that reaffirms Sharjah’s standing as a lasting hub for living culture and renewed heritage.
