Joint Coordination Meeting and Early Preparations in Khorfakkan to Organize the Sharjah Heritage Days

As part of the early preparations for the 23rd edition of the Sharjah Heritage Days, and in an effort to enhance institutional integration and unify joint efforts to ensure the success of this major heritage event, the Sharjah Institute for Heritage convened an expanded coordination meeting with the entities participating in organizing the festivities. This year’s edition is held under the theme “The Glow of Authenticity.”
Highest Standards of Organization and Safety
The meeting, held by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage – Khorfakkan Branch, brought together representatives from the Khorfakkan Municipal Council, Khorfakkan Municipality, Sharjah Police General Command (Eastern Region Department), the Civil Defense Authority, the Ministry of Community Development, and the Roads and Transport Authority. Discussions focused on mechanisms for cooperation and joint coordination, as well as the organizational roles of each entity, to ensure the events are implemented in accordance with the highest standards of organization and safety.

Participants stressed the importance of working in a unified team spirit to ensure the success of the Sharjah Heritage Days, as a leading cultural and heritage platform that celebrates the authentic Emirati folk heritage, highlights its civilizational dimensions, strengthens national identity, and reinforces values of cultural belonging within the community. This aligns with the vision of the Emirate of Sharjah to safeguard heritage, preserve it, and pass it on to future generations.
