Organized by (SIH) “We Will Emerge Stronger and Better” — Kalba Dialogue Session Celebrates the Journey of Emirati Women
The Sharjah Institute for Heritage (SIH) organized today, Thursday, a dialogue session in celebration of Emirati Women’s Day, held under the theme “We Will Emerge Stronger and Better.” The session highlighted the distinguished status of Emirati women, their active role in the UAE’s development journey, and their contributions to preserving cultural heritage and strengthening national identity.
Women’s Voices
Held at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage – Kalba Branch, the session featured the participation of Naeema Ahmed Hamdan Al Zaabi, Dr. Hanadi Ahmed Al Naqbi, and Fatima Ibrahim Hassan. The discussion was moderated by Moza Abdullah Handhal Al Naqbi, and explored key milestones in the journey of Emirati women and their evolving role in society.
From the Past to the Future
The session addressed three main themes examining the journey of Emirati women across the past, present and future.
The first theme, “Emirati Women: The Authenticity of the Past and the Making of the Future,” explored the enduring values embedded in the UAE experience that have contributed to shaping women’s identity and strengthening their role and presence in society.
The second theme, “Emirati Women: Guardians of Heritage and Carriers of Identity,” focused on women’s role in safeguarding cultural and social heritage and passing authentic Emirati customs, traditions and values on to younger generations.

The third theme focused on the event’s slogan, “We Will Emerge Stronger and Better,” reflecting the ambition and confidence of Emirati women in their abilities, their determination to continue their journey of achievement and excellence, and their commitment to strengthening their presence across diverse fields.
Partners in Nation-Building
The session affirmed that Emirati women have consistently been a key partner in building society, contributing to the preservation of the legacy of their ancestors and passing its values and identity on to future generations. They draw authenticity from the past, achievements from the present, and ambition and broad horizons from the future.
