Sharjah Heritage Days Reach Al Dhaid City

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Central Finance Department, inaugurated the 23rd edition of “Sharjah Heritage Days” in Al Dhaid City under the theme “The Glow of Authenticity.” The event took place at Al Dhaid Fort Square in a festive atmosphere reflecting the depth and authenticity of Emirati heritage.
The opening was attended by His Excellency Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage; His Excellency Abu Bakr Al Kindi, Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage; His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Abdullah bin Huwaiden, Chairman of Al Dhaid Municipal Council; His Excellency Hamad Rashid Al Tunaiji, Director of Al Dhaid Municipality; Mr. Nasser Saeed Al Tunaiji, Head of the Organizing Committee in Al Dhaid; and Saqr Mohammed, Director of Branches at the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, along with a number of senior officials, dignitaries, and a large audience of visitors.
Strengthening Heritage Presence in the Central Region
Organized by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, the event comes as part of ongoing efforts to safeguard national heritage and strengthen its presence within the cultural landscape. It also highlights the unique character of the Central Region and its deeply rooted historical and social legacy. The activities attract thousands of visitors eager to explore cultural heritage, traditional handicrafts, folk arts, folkloric performances, heritage chants, and educational workshops designed for various segments of society.

The events witnessed remarkable attendance from residents and visitors who toured the heritage corners and enjoyed a diverse program of cultural and interactive activities, workshops, heritage competitions, and children’s events.
