Final Day Workshops… Artistic Touches and Seeds of Hope
The last day featured a series of interactive workshops that blended art with skill. Among the highlights was the “My Candle” workshop, in which children created colorful candles with their personal touch, and the “Little Farmer” workshop, which gave them the chance to plant seeds and care for plants—sending a symbolic message about nurturing dreams just as one nurtures young seedlings.

Honoring the Participants with the “Explorer’s Medal”
The camp concluded with a recognition ceremony, where Abu Bakr Al-Kindi, Director of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, presented each child with the “Explorer’s Medal” in appreciation of their commitment and creative spirit. The moment was met with applause and proud smiles from parents who shared the joy with their children.

A Special Conclusion for Al-Rawi Summer Camp
For his part, Dr. Abdulaziz Al Musallam, President of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, praised the success of the fourth edition of the Al-Rawi Summer Camp, affirming that the camp provided a rich space for children to explore heritage and folk tales, and to develop their creative skills in an educational and interactive setting. He emphasized that the children’s ideas and creations reflected a spirit of belonging to cultural heritage and highlighted the importance of investing in future generations.

He added that the camp served as a preparatory step for the 25th edition of the Sharjah International Narrator Forum, by preparing a generation capable of engaging with heritage in modern ways and contributing to its preservation and transmission into the future with renewed vitality. He also pointed out that the Institute will continue developing its children-focused programs to ensure the sustainability of this cultural approach.

Aisha Al-Hussan Al-Shamsi: Here, We Create Young Storytellers
For her part, Aisha Al-Hussan Al-Shamsi, Director of the Arab Heritage Center, expressed her pride in what the children achieved during the camp, saying: “Every workshop was a story, and every child’s laughter was a new chapter in their book of memories. In this camp, we were not only teaching them—we were learning from them how to tell stories in new ways, and how heritage can remain alive in their hearts. We are not only shaping artistic skills, but also creating a generation of young storytellers who will carry the legacy of the UAE into the future.”

A 10-Day Journey of Creativity
Over the course of its 10 days, the Al-Rawi Summer Camp offered a variety of workshops and activities in handicrafts, visual arts, recycling, and model-making, with the aim of developing children’s skills and refining their talents in a fun educational environment that reflects Sharjah’s vision of preserving heritage and passing it on to future generations.
