The Sharjah Institute for Heritage welcomed children participating in the "Hasad Volunteering 33" camp, organized by the Sharjah Social Services Department, for an interactive heritage visit designed to introduce them to the rich elements of Emirati heritage through educational and creative activities that combined learning with hands-on experience in an engaging, age-appropriate manner.

Interactive and Creative Workshops

The visit was hosted by the Sharjah Institute for Heritage – Kalba Branch, where participants took part in a pottery-painting workshop that encouraged them to express their creativity by decorating clay pieces with designs inspired by the UAE's environment and cultural heritage. The children were also introduced to the traditional crafts of Khoos (palm frond weaving) and Talli (traditional embroidery), learning about their cultural and social significance and their role in preserving and passing on the nation's heritage to future generations.

An Enriching Educational Experience

The children showed remarkable enthusiasm throughout the visit, actively engaging in the workshops and activities. The experience offered an enjoyable blend of education and entertainment, enriching their understanding of Emirati heritage while deepening their appreciation of traditional crafts and their enduring cultural value.
