The Arab Heritage Center receives a delegation from the Sharjah Fisheries Authority, with the meeting discussing the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage.

Within the framework of supporting and strengthening institutional partnerships, and highlighting programs and initiatives that contribute to safeguarding cultural heritage and enhancing its presence, the Arab Heritage Center, affiliated with the Sharjah Institute for Heritage, today received a delegation from the Sharjah Fisheries Authority. The visit took place during an introductory meeting dedicated to presenting the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage and introducing its objectives and main pillars.

Prospects for Cooperation in Safeguarding Cultural Heritage

The meeting reviewed the award’s categories, participation criteria, and mechanisms, while shedding light on its role in supporting and preserving heritage practices and enhancing their presence in professional and community circles. The two sides also discussed opportunities for future cooperation, contributing to consolidating Sharjah’s position as a leading global hub in the field of cultural heritage.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Aisha Al-Hissan Al-Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Sharjah International Award for Cultural Heritage; Ms. Nada Al-Muaini, Director of the Institutional Development Office; Ms. Sheikha Al-Kutbi and Ms. Shamma Al Ali, Quality Officers; in addition to Nora Al Hammadi and Fatima Al Hammadi from the Award’s General Secretariat team.
