Darayesh –Windows Exhibition
Cultural heritage has always been on the minds of many. It is an integral part of our identity, and what shapes us as a society. For today’s youth, it is perceived as what defines their parents and grandparents generations. The dilemma in how to ensure its continuity and transfer to the next generation.
"Draysh", Emirati dialect for windows, is an initiative stemming from the ongoing memorandum of understanding between the University of Sharjah, represented by the College of Fine Arts and Design, and the Sharjah Heritage Institute. This partnership supports the students in their artistic journey beyond the studio walls.
